The best thing I did this Summer was go to Kenya in East Africa with my dad. This was the first trip that I've gone on where it was just my father and I. I got to visit what they call primary schools which is grades kindergarden through 8th grade. We represented a non-profit organization called Global Roots. They help fund schooling for young girls that have run away from home to avoid a terrible thing called FGM. I got to meet some of these girls and hear their amazing stories. It felt good being able to help out people in need from a third world country. I would definitely go back to Africa again!
